Bll7 AMURI COUNTY COUNCIL NOTICE OF INTENTION TO MAKE AND LEVY RATES PURSUANT to the provisions of Section 106(2) of the Counties Act, 1956, notice is hereby given that at a meeting of the Amuri County Council, held on FRIDAY, May 7, 1976, the following Estimates were approved for the year commencing on April 1, 1976, and ending on March 31, 1977. PUKSUAN'I to section 52 of the Rating Act, 1967, PUBLIC NOTICE xS HEREBY GIVEN that in exercise oi the powers conferred on it in that be naif, it is the intention of the Amuri County Council at its ordinary meeting, to be held at 1.3 U p.m., on r RIDAY, June 4, 1976, at the Council Chambers, Culverden, to make and levy the following rates ana charges: (1) Under Section 105 of the Counties Act 1956, a general rate of .385 cents m tne dollar on tne Capital Value of all rateable property appearing on the valuation rolls of the Amuri County. (2) Under the Counties Amendment Act, 1961, and the Amuri County Water Race By-laws: (aj A Balmoral Water Race Loan and Maintenance Amalgamated rate of .28, .14, .07 of a cent in tne dollar on the Capital Value of Classes A, B, C, lands respectively in the Balmoral Water Race District. (b) A Waiau Plains Water Race Maintenance Charge of 22 cents per acre on all rateable land in the Waiau Plains Water Race District. (3) Under Section 113 of the Counties Act, 1956, a Waiau Hall Maintenance Rate of .0025 of a cent in the dollar on the capital value of all rateable property in the Waiau and Lyndon Ridings. (4) Under’ Section 115 of the Counties Act, 1956, a charge of $6 for domestic and $9 for trade refuse removal in the Hanmer, Culverden and Rotherham Town Areas. (5) In exercise of the powers conferred on it in respect . to drainage and sanitation i in the Hanmer Town 1 Area, a charge of $l5 per i W.C. or Urinal with the Hanmer Sewerage System. : (6) in exercise of tne powers 1 conferred on it by Section ; 118 of the Counties Act, I 1956, and in pursuance of Part 22 of the County By- I laws the following water i supply and maintenance i charges:— (a) A Hanmer Springs ! Water Supply Loan and Maintenance rate , of .06 of a cent in the dollar in the Hanmer ; Water Supply Area. (b) An additional charge ' of 15 cents per thous- . and gallons on all commercial lands and , buildings in the Han- : met and Waiau water : supply special areas on a metered supply, for all water used in ! excess of 100,000 gallons per annum. (7) (a) A Waiau Township Water Supply Loan and Maintenance annual uniform charge varying from $24 to $lOO as classified for connections on all lands in the Waiau Township Water Supply Special Area (b) An annual uniform charge of $4 on sections to which water can be connected. (8) (a; A Culverden Township Water Loan and Maintenance annual uniform charge varying from $24 to $4OO as classified for all connections on all lands in the Culverden Township Water Supply Special Area. (b) An annual uniform charge of $4 for Sections to which water can be connected . (9) A Waiau Rural Water Supply charge of $65 per unit of water supplied. (10) A Pahau Riding Amenities Kate of .01 cents in the dollar on the capital value of all rateable property in the Pahau Riding. (11) A Hanmer Springs War Memorial Hall Loan Special Kate o± .003 of a cent in the dollar on the capital value of ail rateable property in the Hanmer Riding. (12) Marioorougn Catchment Board Administrative Kate of .03472 of a cent in the dollar on capital value of all rateable land in the Marlborough Catchment Board District under the jurisdiction of the Amuri County Council. (13) Such rates as the North Canterbury Catchment Board shall strike by way of special order on the capital value of all rateable land in the North Canterbury Catchment Board District under the jurisdiction of the Amuri County Council. Such rates and charges to be for the period commencing on the first day of April, 1976, and ending on the 31st day of March, 1977, and shall be due and payable in one sum on the 10th day of September, 1976, at the County ; Office, Culverden, where the valuation rolls are open for inspection during office hours.
