Mixed Aust, market; trading moderate
The Australian sharemarket closed on a mixed note in moderately active trading yesterday, with the two Northern Territory Ranger uranium partners, Peko-Wallsend and EZ Industries being keenly sought.
E.Z.L rose 10c to 400 c, I while Peko-Wallsend added 12c to close at 586 c. Other uranium counters lost ground with Pancontinental shedding 30c to 1020 c, and Kathleen Investments 5c to 130 c. ‘ On the industrial boards B.H.P. remained steady at 756 c, while Myers moved ahead 3c to 220 c. Other improvers were the banks with the C.B.C. rising 3c to 208 c ;and the C.B.A. 5c to 265 c. ICSR added a further 7c to ! reach 445 c.
