Ford block on aid
(N Z.PA.-Reuter) WASHINGTON, May 9. Huge new infusions of United ' States aid to Israel have been blocked by a Presidential veto of a bill to share out SUS4OOOm worth of military and economic aid abroad. President Ford has rejected the bill in protest against what he called unprecedented restrictions on his righ* to conduct foreign policy. Among its provisions, the bill proposed a SUS9OOOm annual ceiling on United States arms sales abroad, a six-montb suspension of the trade embargo against Vietnam, and links between the granting of aid and human rights standards in recipient countries.
