Assistant director
Mr R. J. Wilson has been appointed as the Department of Social Welfare’s assistant director of social work in Christchurch. He succeeds Mr j. L. Hills, who retired last month. Mr Wilson, who comes to Christchurch from Timaru, has been in the Public Service for 17 years and has worked in the Departments of Health, Maori Affairs, and the former Child Welfare Division of the Education Department. He was also a graduate liaison officer with the State Services Commission in Wellington and served as an assistant manager at the Department of Social Welfare’s Kohitere Centre at Levin. He will take up his new position this month.
