Lotus chief cleared
(NZ. PA.Reuter—Copyright) MONZA (Italy). Colin Chapman, chief of the British Lotus racing-car team, has been formally cleared at Monza of any responsibility for the death of the Austrian driver. Jochen Rindt, at the wheel of a Lotus six years ago. The Public Prosecutor opened proceedings against Chapman after Rindt’s car crashed during practice for the Italian grand prix in 1970, but an investigating magistrate, Mr Giacomo Foti, has now ruled that there is no ground for prosecution.
