The Leader of the Opposition in Britain (Mrs Margaret Thatcher) presents a smile and gesture radiating good will towards the artists who caricature her. Chosen in an anual ballot to select the public figure who has been the greatest inspiration to cartoonists. Mrs Thatcher was in the Cartoonist, a public house off Fleet Street, to receive the Gold Joker Award of the Cartoonist Club of Great Britain and to accept honorary life membership of that club.
