W. D. Skelton suspended
CxV.Z. Press AU( KLAND. The jockos. W. D Skelton and K E. Reggett. and the leading apprentice, C. G. Brierlev. were suspended at Ellerslie last Saturday. Skelton and Reggett up to and including May I and Brierley up to and including May 14 Skelton, the rider of Coptic in jthe Mount Wellington Handicap, was put out for causing interference to Rouissillon and Jolly Roger about 50 metres into the home straight. Brierley’s suspension was for causing interference to Gold Palm and Prince Miles at about ithe same point in the Mount j Wellington Handicap. Brierley was on Acrizona. | -After the Bledisloe Handicap ■an inquiry was held into alleged interference by Show's Pride, which was placed third, to Soliloquy (fifthi about 80 metres from the finish. The judicial committee found that Show's Pride and Regal Tan both contributed to the interference suffered by Soliloquy. They accordingly relegated Show’s Pride from third to fourth, and Regal Tan from fourth to fifth, thereby putting Sobloauv in third place. Reggett, the rider of Show’s Pride, was afterwards suspended for causing interference to Soliloquy.
