More time to sell hotel
The series of actions involving the Chateau Commodore hotel group of companies, and H.P. Holt, Ltd, a building firm, have been adjourned to May 24 for a fixture on that date unless the hotel is sold it the meantime and a settle ment made. Mr Justice Casey granted the adjournment, in the Supreme Court yesterday. Mr P. F. Whiteside, who appeared for Roydyale Timber and Joinery, Ltd, an associated company of H. P. Holt, Ltd, which has a winding-up petition lodged against it, said that all matters had been dealt with by Mr Justice Roper on April 6 and adjourned until yesterday in the
hope that a settlement had been completed as a result of a sale of the hotel. However, that had not yet been done, and parties in all the actions sought an idjournment to May 24 when Mr Justice Roper vould be available. Mr A. Hearn, for Merj ink Corporation, Ltd. one of th* parties to the actions, said that all matters had been adjourned until yesterday, not for a fixture, but because it was hoped that by then the sale of the hotel would have resulted in a beneficial settlement for all parties. The sale of the hotel had not yet been arranged, but still remained a possibility, Mr Hearn said.
