rx Z Press Association* AUCKLAND. The Auckland police were called to a large brawl in a third-grade rugby match between .Mount Roskill and Glenfield after a fight between the two teams spread to include spectators on Saturday. Three players were sent off
in the first half of the game. In the second half, fighting broke out and turned into a -27-man brawl when almost ail the players became involved. According to a police spokesman today, the fight then spread to about a dozen spectators. The fighting was so bad •hat the game was aban-! doned, although the referee;
did not actually call it off.: the police said, because he' was “in difficulties of his: own.” The police were called to, the ground, and on Sunday I were still looking into the: incident.
