New ships for bulk newsprint
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, April 18. Two new specialised ships will be introduced to handle bulk newsprint by Tasman Pulp and Paper, Ltd. The Union Company and Tasman announced the . new ships in a joint statement. It comes after several months of intensive negotiations in which Tasman has argued that the ships the Union Company intended for the task were not completely suitable and contributed to extra handling costs.
