$60,000 theft remand

CN.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. April 13. Two men jointly charged with the theft of 560.128. the property of the Reserve Bank, appeared in the Magistrate’s Court today and were remanded to April 27 for probation reports although pleas to the charges have not yet been entered. The theft is alleged to have occurred on April 5. Counsel for the two men (Messrs J. R. Billington and D. Hurley), said both would be pleading guilty to the charge and that a probation report at this staee would be helnful. Mr J. A. Wicks, S.M., agreed to this and the two accused were remanded on hail to April 27. Sergeant P. A. Loveridge appeared for the police.
