Gunmen fly to Benghazi
(N Z PA Reuter—Copy rig nt) , KARACHI. April 13. i Three armed Filipino hi- 1 lackers, described as weary and confused, headed for Libya today in a DCB jetliner. They held two hostages at gunpoint and had a $300,000 ransom aboard. Officials at Karachi Airport, where the aircraft stopped overnight to refuel, said it had permission to land at Benghazi. Libya. In Manila, a Philippines Air Lines spokesman confirmed that Libya had agreed to receive the plane.
Boxing.—Ken Norton, the No. 1 heavy-weight contender, will meet Ron Stander in a 12-round bout at the Capital Centre in Landm’er. Maryland, on the April 30 card featuring the Muhammad Ali/Jimmy Young heavy-weight title match. Big fight.—The world heavyweight boxing champion, Muhammad AH, will begin training next week with a professional wrestler known as “The Sheik" tn preparation for his bout on June 25 in Tokyo with the Japanese wrestler.
