Coalition plans in Thailand

(N.Z.P.A.Reuter —Copyright) BANGKOK, April 12. Thailand’s Democrat Party will have more than half the seats in the coalition Government it is forming with three, other political parties. Mr Seni Pramoj, the party leader and probable Prime Minister, said yesterday that the Chart Thai (Thai National) Party, the Social Justice Party, and the Social Nationalist Party had submitted to him lists of candi-

dates for Ministerial posts. Mr Seni said that General Kris Sivara, who retired last October as Army Com-mander-in-Chief and acting Armed Forces Supreme Commanded, would be named Minister of Defence in the new Cabinet. The Democrats would have 18 of the 31 seats, the remainder being shared by the other three parties, and the Chart Thai the next-largest holder of Cabinet posts after the Democratic Party.
