Twizel men to meet

i (N.Z. Press Association) DUNEDIN. April 11. Members of the Workers’ Union employed on the; Upper Waitaki power project • will meet in Twizel at 7.30 tomorrow morning to discuss; a “back-to-work” demand' issued by the project! .engineer, Mr S. M. J. Smith. The secretary of the union’s Twizel branch (Mr A. Campbell) said tonight that, the members would be asked to consider the contents of a letter from Mr Smith containing four conditions. These were that the union’s vote of no confidence! in the project’s administration officer. Mr A. G. Taylor, be removed; that there be a return to normal work by the! start of the 3 p.m. shift to-! morrow; that there be no discrimination against union members who did not attend stop-work meetings last week: and that a black ban on Ministry of Works equipment be lifted.
