Awards to designer
A Christchurch designer, Mr Bret de Thier, has won the major award in the first national graphic design awards exhibition in Auckland. Mr de Thier won a trip to Australia for an entry which showed the most creative use of Letraset products. His entries also won prizes in the typography, corporate identity, technical literature and publicity sections of the design awards. In all, Mr de Thier won five of the 25 awards. The awards were organised by the Society of Industrial Designers. Mr de Thier is also known as an Olympic Finn class _________
