Ferrymead grants
Sir, —1 wish to apologise to Mr S. H. Wood for the statement in my letter of March 29 that “nearly: $500,000 of public money l has been given to the (Ferrymead) Trust.” In order to condense the original draft of my letter to your re-1 quired limit of '5O words. I shortened the wording of my original version which read “As perhaps nearly $500,000 of historic buildings, equipment, reduced leases for land, gifts, grants and dona-, tions. have been given to the: (Ferrymead) Trust.” It was I unfortunate that I reduced! all these items to an ap-| proximate money value! alone. It was far from my l
intention to criticise Mr. Wood and his fellow-mem-j bers for their voluntary] work at the Ferrymead His- 1 toric Park. —Yours, etc., i PHILIP WRIGHT. April 2, 1976. [This correspondence is now closed. — Editor.]
