SAFETY OFFICER WE WISH TO APPOINT a Safety Officer whose principal responsibility will be to project enthusiasm towards accident prevention amongst all our managers and continue the development of our accident prevention programme. The Safety Officer will operate out of our head office at Penrose, but this is essentially a “field” position which will require regular travelling to al! units throughout the North and South Islands in order to maintain close contact with all Fletcher management. Applicants should be self starters with, — a practical knowledge of accident prevention across a wide range of industries; — an ability to promote in others an enthusiasm for the function; — an ability to motivate others to successfully carry out a continuing programme of accident prevention. Further aspects of the Safety Officer’s role will include; maintaining contact with outside institutions on matters of Safety and Accident Prevention; ensuring that adequate records continue to be maintained and made available for company use; extend and develop safety training courses offered to Fletcher employees.
