Health Day posters

A national poster competition for school and tertiary students has been arranged as part of_ World Health Day on April 7. The theme for the competition and for World Health Dav is “Foresight prevents blindness.” Entries close on March 26 and winners will nt announced on April '• In the primary and intermediate schools’ section the first prize will be $l5O. witvi $5O for second prize. On World Health Day, the 3ZB announcer, Ken Ellis, will be host of an hour-long panel discussion and talk(back show dealing with the ■ four main causes of blincliness in New Zealand: old age. j glaucoma, diabetes, and (industrial and domestic accidents. Four people iaffected by these will be on the programme wtih a ! Christchurch eye specialist (Dr R. D. Suckling). During World Health week posters will be on display in Health Department offices and industrial health clinics.
