HOBART. March 19 The New Zealand-owned j roll-on ship Seaway Prince spent nearly seven hours | drifting helplessly off the Tasmanian east coast today after fire cut her power. “She couldn’t drop her anchors on the 100-fathom lines. It was too deep, and without power she couldn’t i have raised them again anyway.” said Captain David Buckle, the acting manager in I Hobart for Union Bulkships | Proorietarv. Ltd. I The 4000-tonne Prince is being towed to Hobart. and is expected to arrive earlv tomorrow. Captain Buckle said the fire in the master switch- 1 board about 3 a.m. had stopped the ship’s driving I and normal electric power jl Engineers had the fire ■ under control within half an ; hour.
