Feltex wins $l.5m order

(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, March 18. Feltex New Zealand, Ltd, has won a carpet order worth $1,500,000 to supply more than 75,000 sq. m of wool-blend carpet for the Mutual Life and Citizen’s Assurance Company, Ltd (M.L.C.) centre in Sydney. It is believed to be the largest single order of its type won by a New Zealand company, and will be filled by the Feltex factory in Lower Hutt. The M.L.C. building, when completed will be the tallest reinforced concrete office block in the world, soaring 68 storeys high. This is the sixth Sydney contract Feltex has gained recently. It is also supplying carpet for office blocks and a secondary school and has completed anorder for the Sydney Hilton Hotel.
