R. W. Saunders 6 p.c. ahead
The unaudited net profit of R. W. Saunders, Ltd, increased 6 per cent in the half-year to January 19, compared with the same period last year, the directors announced yesterday in a brief half-yearly report. The forward order position has not been as buoyant as in previous years, they say.
“Despite this, we achieved a small increase in sales for the first half of the year. We are hopeful that sales in the next six-month period will at least equal those for the same period last year.”
