Cosgrave to see Ford

(N.Z.P.A.Reuter—Copyright)

DUBLIN, March 15.

In his week-long visit to the United States beginning tomorrow, the Prime Minister of the Irish Republic (Mr Liam Cosgrave) is expected to seek more American business investment in his country and a cut-off of funds raised in America for I.R.A. terrorists. The visit coincides with the United States’ bicentennial celebrations and with St Patrick’s Day. Mr Cosgrave will address a joint session of the United States Congress, and will have talks with President Ford, but, in view of the heady swell of Irish nationalism in bicentenary year—a year in which the Irish vote counts in the Presidential election, he is thought unlikely to make any passionate anti-I.R.A. appeals in public, as his Ministers have done recently.
