GUNDERINGA RAM

Mr Don Sloss of Cheviot showing off his recently acquired Australian Corriedale ram, which comes from the Gunderinga Stud in .Neu South Wales. The ram was brought out from Australia for the Christchurch show, and was placed second in the two-tooth class, out of 39 entries. It was expensive starting up a stud, but Mr

Sloss considered it worth while because it was good sheep country around Cheviot. He would be able to '•ell rams without am trouble because lhere were not many other studs in the area. He runs 520 stud ewes which will go to ram this year. T here are 3200 sheep on the 900 acre farm, as well as 250 cattle and a small amount of crop.
