Two jump clear as trains hit

I Two Railways employees narrowly escaped death in a Ishunting collision at the W’eljlington railway yards tonight, j The two men leapt for [their lives, seconds before ! their locomotive was ripped j apart by another goods train ■ It is believed that neither man jwas injured. | The impact was so great I that the seat in which the ! locomotive driver had been sitting was torn out of the cab. It was found later.
I inside the shattered wooden guard’s waggon which had hit it. Most of the superstructure :of the locomotive cab was demolished. and had to be cut away by workmen. Two waggons at the end of the line which collided with the locomotive were derailed.; A mobile crane was called in, j and both waggons were back ! on the rails at 8.15, about; two hours and a half after the! accident.
