Easy win for Mai Moa in women’s cricket
All three senior women's cricket matches on Saturday resulted in decisive wins. St Albans I managed 86/8 in its 10 overs against Mai Moa I. which : reached its target in 35 overs, and for the loss of only two wickets. The St Albans No. 2 team, fared little better It was senti into bat by Western and was dismissed for 88 in the thirty-third | over. The side lost at least one wicket through bad running. Western had no trouble scoring, the required runs, its openers,; Jenny Olson and Shirley Cowles.: ‘accomplishing the task. Olson! made 47 not out and Cowles 42 1 not out. Mai Moa II batted first against .Sydenham and scored 82/7.! ; Sydenham replied with 83/2. •scored in 29 overs. A match betxx'een Sydenham and St Albans, which had to be cancelled earlier in the season, was played recently. St Albans) batted first and made 146. J. Lord: (40*. P. Bremner (42) and C. Hales (34) being the main contributors. Svdenham was dismissed for ,76. S. Storey making 31 and C.' Luxton 26. J. Mcßobie took 3/9j for St Albans: and C. Luxon also
