Charlton tour cancelled
The former English soccer] international, Bobby Chari-: ton, has been forced to can-; cel his planned coaching-! lecture tour of New Zealand iuext month. Charlton has sent a tele-' gram to the tour organisers explaining that. business :ommitments in England I would prevent him leaving’ at that time. However. Charlton added' that he would contact the .organisers when the trip was icertain to take place, and it is possible he will come in June or July. Christchurch United were ! to have been one of Charlton’s hosts, on April 9. The United chairman. M r F. .!. H. Haydon, said last evening that, money would be returned to those who had I already bought their tickets for the April 9 function.
