Golf official dies
Mr Les Clegg, the presi dent of the Canterbury Pro vincial Golf Association died yesterday in Princess Marg aret Hospital Mr Clegg served for a number of years on the association’s executive repre senting the Waimam Beach club, of which he was also the president In his younget days Mr Clegg was a useful boxer His son Brian, has been a prominent Canterbury golfer for some years.
