Bomb blast in Bangkok

BANGKOK. March 3
A big explosion, which the! police said might have been caused by dynamite, killed five students and injured four , at an engineering college in Bangkok today. Three students were killed on the spot, and two more died in hospital later. The police said they found dry batteries and some electric wire in the area of the blast, which might have been part of a dynamite detonating device. The explosion was heard for several hundred metres: around the Rama Six engineering school about 6 a.m — two hours before students; normally turn up for classes; — and damaged buildings. Informed sources said students at the college had been; ’supporting the National; Student Centre of Thailand. ,the countrv’s main militant! 'student body. 1
