Fendalton parish festivities

The centenary of the Anglican parish of Fendalton will be celebrated at Queen's Birthday week-end, June 4-6 It is hoped that all past and present parishioners of the St Barnabas and St Thomas Anglican churches will attend.

On the evening of Fridav JJune 4 a ball will be held in jthe Town Hall. Those attend- ! ing may wear oeriod costumes if they wish. On Saturday evening buffet dinner parties will b° held 'in the homes of parishioners at 7.30 p.m.

On Sunday a Eucharist service will be held in St Barnabas church at 10 45 a.ni.. followed bv lunch at Mona Vale.

During the evening a festival evensong will be he'd lin the church with the Anglican Bishop of Christchurch i(the Rt Rev. \V. A. Pvatt) as preacher This will be fol- ■ lowed by supper in the church hall.

During the week-end an :exhibition showing the parish through 100 years will be displayed. This will include old Bibles, prayer books, and photographs.

In the week before the 1 Celebrations special commun-; | ion services will be held each night at 5 p.m.
