LONDON. A former New Zealand ■men’s hockey vice-captain J ■ Greg Dayman, was one of the stars of an international i team’s 4-2 win over the British Olympic squad. Britain, playing as the Unicorns, arranged the game as a warm-up for its Olympic :qualifying series against Belgium in Amsterdam later this I month. According to the “Guardian,” Dayman never put a foot wrong at right back, and the “Daily Telegraph” said, "with a rock-like defender in Dayman, who seemed to be on stilts, the international XI soon showed their mettle.”
