Situation: An anticyclone east of Cook Strait continues to move north east. A cold front in the Tasman Sea is moving south east, and should reach Fiordland in the afternoon. Forecast: Marlborough. Nelson: Northerlies, mainly light or moderate, but freshening during the day about Cook Strait.

Fine, but with increasing high cloud, and temperatures gradually rising dur ing the day. Buller, Westland and Canterbury: Light or moderate winds, northerlies prevailing. Fine, but increasing high cloud, moderate tern, peratures. Outlook: Fine in Marlborougi and Nelson, fair elsewhere
