Exel joins TV2

(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. The former television interviewer, David Exel, who organised the Citizens for Rowling campaign, is to return to television, but not on the screen. He has been contracted to organise research and audience participation for TV2’s new Friday public affairs programme, “The Friday Conference.”

The show with Gordon Dryden as host, will run for 36 weeks from March 26. said the producer (Donald Hope Evans). It will be recorded in Auckland, Hamilton, Wellington, Christchurch, and Dunedin.

Each programme will have a studio audience of between 100 and 500 people, most of them invited from the public. However, a core of people will be invited because of their special knowledge or interest.
