Society of Bellringers rang a< quarter peal of Yorkshire! ■ Surprise Major (1280 changes] in 50 minutes) on Saturday as] a compliment to the Court Theatre. It was the first quarter peal] ■ to be rung in this method in' New Zealand. Those taking part were;' treble, J. B. Emmett. R. G. T.; Bennett, P. J. Perry. M. M. iClavton, N. F. E. Reeve, C. |H. Ward.
