Women’s bowls finalists
The eight finalists in the Christchurch Women’s Bowling Centre’s champion of champion pairs emerged yesterday after play at the Heathcote and Sumner greens. Yesterday’s winners will play-off today at Heathcote.
Results were.— Heathcote: E. Brown (Spreydon) 27, A. Beazley (Linwood) 19: M. Pluck (Rakaia) 22, A. Cordery (Cashmere) 18; B. Smith (Christchurch Richmond) 17, L. Stanners (Morrison Avenue) 12; M. Taylor (Christchurch) 19, M. Nottingham (Mona Vale) 12. Sumner: A. Whiting (W.W.M.C.) 20, R. Blair (Burwood) 18; V. Shaw (Barrington) 22, J. Jones (St Martins) 19; B. Wall (Darfleld) 25, C. Beer (Oxford) 16; D. Stapleton (Shirley) 22, E. Russell (New Brighton) 18.
