Lordship colt brings $4000
i.VZ Press Sssoctution* INVERCARGILL I A high-quality Lordship year- 1 ling celt from the well-performed Meadow Chief mare. Rona’s Choice, brought top price of, 54000 at a special sale of standardbred stock in Invercargill yesterday. The colt, a close relation of the brilliant pacer Meadow Bank, was bought by R. M. Cameron/ of Ashburton, and was offered by the Browngate Stud. Spurhead The Brow ngate Stud held a special displenishlng sale. The remainder of the catalogue comprised stock owned by Mr R. H. Ball, of Invercargill, who had a dispersal sale. Apart from the widespread in-: terest in the Lordship colt there was a dull tone to the sale.* There were few northern buyers* and the gallery in the main was * composed of spectators. Only seven lots of the 22 lots offered were sold, for a total of 59050. an average of $1293.
