New Zealand Finnclass helmsmen again showed outstanding sailing ability- to handle difficult conditions in the third heat of the world Finn-class championship on Brisbane’s Waterloo Bay yesterday’. The powerful dinghy skipper, Jonty Farmer, who finished third in the 1975 ! world championship at ;Malmo, Sweden, gained his ■successive second placing land has improved to fourth overall on the championship points score with a card of 15-2-2. James Douglas holds sixth overall with his fighting seventh place yesterday. Bret de Thier, who has sailed in the Olympics, filled eighth place, giving New Zealand three skippers in the first 10 placings. The championship will ‘continue with a heat each day, the final to be sailed on January- 10.
