Skin prices raised

Lamb and sheepskin prices have been raised by South Island processors, but the export meat schedule for this week remains unchanged. Lamb skins are now worth $1.51 for a pelt with a woolpull of 0.5 kilogrames (a rise of 6c), to $3.09 for a pelt with a wool-pull of 1.5 kilograms (a rise of 12c). Sheepskins have been raised 10c.

On present prices, a 15kg lamb with a wool-pull of 1.2 kilograms is worth more than $lO. A schedule has also been released for shorn lamb skins. Prices range from $1.09 for a pelt with a woolpull of 0.2 kilograms to 2.21 for one with a wool-pull of 1 kilogram.
