Chrysler accord
(y.Z P .A Reuter—C'op/-ipho LONDON. Jan. 4. The trade unions concerned have accepted the British Labour Government’s Sl62m rescue plan for the Chrysler Corporation’s ailing British subsidary. There had been strong opposition from the unions earlier because the plan involves the loss of 8300 jobs in the next six months, but the Government had given a warning that unless there was genera l agreement on the proposal, the company would have to close down, and all 26.000 employees would lose their jobs. At a meeting, 120 trade union representatives voted> for the plan, and only nine against.
