ANCHORAGE (Alaska), January 4.

A small jet aircraft on charter to British Petroleum crashed near Anchorage tonight, and unconfirmed reports say that five of the eight people on board were killed.

The twin-engined Learjet crashed in thick fog after a flight from Dead Horse, on Prudhoe Bay, in Alaska’s Far North. BP and other international companies are developing the rich oilfields at Prudhoe Bay.
