North and South Vietnam will hold joint elections next spring, and reunification, with Hanoi as the most likely capital, will be completed by April 30, according to informed sources in Saigon. They confirm Radio Hanoi reports that there will be one joint National Assembly and a new Constitution to unite the governing bodies of North and South. The new joint Assembly will meet for the first time on April 30, the first anniversary of the Communist conquest of South Vietnam, the sources say.
