Iranian plediie The Iranian Foreign Ministry has announced that Iranian troops will remain in Oman only with the consent of the Oman Government. The ruler of Oman (Sultan Qabus) has said that the rebel movement in the Persian Gulf shiekdom has been crushed. Iranian troops have been stationed in Oman for the last three years to help to suppress the insurrection of Communist-supported Dhoffar rebels.—Teheran.
