Workers ‘must come to terms'
'.XZ Press Association) WELLINGTON, Dec. 18. A country which could afford to stop work for long periods, tor any reason at all. could also afford to wait two weeks for a basic wage decision, the president of the Associated Ch embers of Commerce (Mr A. M. Jolly) said today. In a statement, Mr Jolly said New Zealand was facing the most serious economic crisis in its history, and he w as “appalled” that any section of the community should think any interruption to production could be afforded. “One way or another, management and organised labour will have to come to terms,” he said.
