Junior golf soc. contest
The Canterbury Junior Golfing Society will hold its annual stroke-play championships at the Harewood new course on Sunday.
The society has an age limit — under 25 — and at the other end of the scale there are youngsters of 13 and 14.
There are cups for the best gross for men, and for the best nett scores — men and women. There are some notable players in what will be 1 substantial field — Simon Robinson and John Parkes. Sue Whitaker. Judith Rutherord. Sue Clephane, and ’hilippa Marks.
The annual meeting and a social function will be held in conjunction.
