(N.Z. Press Assn—Copyright) NEW DELHI, December 9. Mr Jayaprakash Narayan, India’s most prominent Opposition leader, who is 73, has suffered a heart attack in Bombay Hospital, where he has been placed in the intensive care unit. Mr Narayan was admitted to the hospital on November 22 for treatment for a kidney ailment. Along with hundreds of Opposition party leaders and workers, he was arrested hours before the Prime Minister (Mrs Gandhi) declared a state of national emergency on June 26, but the Government gave him a conditional release from prison last month because of his illhealth.
