Water polo youth sides
A reasonably-experienced under-18 team and a most proficient under-15 team have been named to represent Canterbury in the national water polo championships next month.
Two of the under-18 team,! Matt Lewis and Greg Hard-1 ing, represented Canterbury! in the senior grade at Labour [Day Week-end, and with [Craig Wright and John Davie [were in last season’s Canterbury under-21 team. ■ The under-15 team has two! I survivors from last year’s! team, the captain and vice- • captain. John Koens and Damian Ferigo, respectively, I but wil] probably still start, favourite to retain its title. The teams are:—
Under 18.—Matt Lewis (captain), Chris Lewis. Robert Lewington, Eddy Smulders, Derek Ferigo. SI even Wakefield (Wliarenui); John Davie (vicecaptain). Greg Harding (Beckenham-Soekburni: Craig Wright, David Clarke (North Beach); Peter McDonald (New Brighton).
Under 15.—John Koens (captain). Damian Ferigo (vicecaptain), Paul Rowe. John Cavili, Richard Langley, Michael Dixon (Wharenui); Martin Forbes, Robert Tullett, Rod Jones, Jackie Anink (North Beach); Kelvin (Bishop (New Brighton).
