B7Ol THE ELECTRICITY CONTROL ORDER 1948, AMENDMENT No. 11 PURSUANT to the Electricity Act 1968 and the Electricity Control Regulations 1949 the General Manager of the New Zealand Electricity Department hereby makes the following order. ORDER 1 Title and commencement—(l) This order may be cited as the Electricity Control Order 1948. Amendment No. 11, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Electricity Control Order 1948 (hereinafter referred to as the principal order). (2) This order shall come into force on Monday the 15th day of Devember, 1975. 2. Restrictions on public lighting—Part IVA of the principal order (as inserted by clause 2 of the Electricity Control Order 1948, Amendment No. 9. and amended by clause 2 of the Electricity Control Order 1948. Amendment No. 10) shall not anply for the period commencing on the 15th day of December. 1975, and ending with the 16th day of January, 1976, 3. Revocation—This order shall be deemed to have been revoked on the 17th dav of January, 1976 Dated at Wellington this Bth day of December, 1975 P. W. BLAKELEY, General Manager, New Zealand Electricity Department. EXPLANATORY NOTE This note is not part of order but is intended to indicate its general effect. This order suspends the operation of Part TV A of the Electricity Control Order 1948 for the period commencing on December 15, 1975, and ending with January 16, 1976. The effect is to remove restrictions on the use of electricity for advertising, floodlighting, decorative lighting, and illuminated signs during that period. The period of suspension may possibly be extended, but this will depend on circumstances. 8751
