' Two Christchurch teen-age girls, serving life sentences for the murder of a saleswoman during an armed hold-up in a King’s Cross jewellery shop, will appeal against their conviction and sentence early next year. Mr Justice Slattery, in the New South Wales Supreme Court, fixed February 20 for the hearing of the appeal by the Court of Criminal Appeals. The girls are Carol Edna Paintin. aged 16, and Judith Ann Garett, aged 17, who lived in a King’s Cross motel after coming to Sydney from Christchurch.
