(From Our Own Reporter) TIMARU. The Tlmaru City Council’s works committee will recommend that a letter from the Health Department, affirming that a skin infection suffered by a Timaru child aged four could not have been caused by bathing in fluoridated water, be received and no further action be taken. The department’s letter, which will come before the council this evening, said that a sample of the infection indicated that it had been caused by ringworm. An examination of the child is not necessary to determine the matter, the letter said.
