John Stride

John Stride (from “The Main Chance”), Janet Munro and Alan Badel are in “Bitter Harvest,” the story of a Welsh village girl who longs for money and excitement, on TV2 on Wednesday night. Beautiful young Jennie Jones finds her home village of Llangelly is a grey, desolate' prison. But when she arrives in London without money or shelter, her situation becomes desperate. She receives friendship and help but uses it to achieve her ambitions. Eventually it appears that she has what she wants — but too late she realises the bitter harvest her ambitions have brought i her. “Bitter Harvest” was made in 1963.
