Rural fires restriction
; Uniform fire restrictions will be observed this summer in the rural district of Paparua County and the counties of Ellesmere and i Malvern.
Paparua County fire wardens, at a meeting on ThursIday, agreed to fix the same date as the other counties, December 17. as the starting date. A closing date will be set later, as circumstances dictate. From December 15, all fires in the open in the rural districts are banned, but farmers may burn off between 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. provided they first get permission from their local fire warden.
